What is pure alpha arbutin?
Pure Alpha Arbutin is a kind of arbutin, which is the monoglucose form of hydroquinone. It is a new type of natural whitening active substance without irritation, allergy and compatibility. According to the different directions of the glycosidic bond in space, arbutin can be divided into β-arbutin and α-arbutin, the molecular formula of the two is exactly the same, but the spatial structure is different. Natural arbutin exists in plants such as bearberry and bilberry in β-configuration.

Benefits:
1. Safety of α-metafructoside
Experiments show that a-arbutin has no cytotoxicity: a-arbutin can significantly reduce the activity of tyrosinase in melanocytes without affecting the survival activity of cells. In July 2015, a-arbutin was recognized as a safe and efficient cosmetic whitening agent by the European Commission on Consumer Safety (SCCS).
2. Stability of α-Arbutin
α-Arbutin converted by biological enzymes has high purity and stable structure (better heat resistance and light resistance), and will not be enzymatically hydrolyzed by β-glucoside in human skin during use, ensuring a - Excellent stability of arbutin in production and application.
3. High efficiency of α-arbutin
Studies have shown that a-arbutin inhibits the activity of tyrosinase through specific and reversible competition, blocks the formation of melanin, accelerates the decomposition and excretion of melanin, and achieves skin care effects. Therefore, a-arbutin has a high durability.

Recommended Dosage:
| Application Products | Amount of Addition |
| Aqueous and essence products | 0.2%-2.0% |
| Gel and lotion products | 0.3%-2.0% |

In the formulation of whitening creams, pure alpha arbutin can be combined with other whitening ingredients, such as ascorbyl glucoside (AA2G), niacinamide, etc. The recommended dosage of each ingredient is: a-arbutin: 1.0-2.0%: niacinamide: 0.5-1.0%; AA2G: 1.0-2.0%.
