What is Bromelain?
Bromelain also called bromelain pineapple enzyme, is a pure natural plant protease extracted from pineapple fruit stems, leaves, and skins. Appearance is a yellow-brown powder with a slight odor. Soluble in water, the aqueous solution is colorless to pale yellow and insoluble in ethanol, chloroform, and ether. Bromelain mainly contains various components such as proteolytic enzymes, has strong hydrolytic activity, and can carry out protein hydrolysis.
