D-alpha Tocopherol Oil Introduction
D-alpha tocopherol oil is A clear, dark amber viscous oil with mild taste and odor. alpha tocopherol oil is derived from edible vegetable oils by suitable physical and chemical means. Alpha vitamine is intended for use as Vitamin E in dietary supplement and food industry.
The active substance is d-α-tocopherol, which is also known as RRR-α-tocopherol, and is the only alpha-tocopherol stereoisomer in nature. Natural vitamin E, d-alpha-tocopherol, has the highest biological capacity of all isoforms of vitamin E.
Natural d-alpha tocopherol is a clear, brown-red viscous oil with a light vegetable oil odor. Long-term exposure to aerobic, luminescent, or certain chemical environments, the color will gradually deepen. Therefore, it is necessary to store in reference to the storage method of vegetable oil: use nitrogen seal to reduce contact with air; avoid direct sunlight or excessive storage temperature; avoid unnecessary contact with transition metal or alkaline substances.
Vitamin E is a general term for 8 similar molecules. The main physiological activity is α-tocopherol.
The main physiological function of vitamin E is antioxidants, protecting cells from free radical damage.
The transport and metabolism of vitamin E is mainly the responsibility of the liver, and too much vitamin E will be metabolized by the liver.
Appropriate intake of vegetable oil, nuts can achieve a daily intake of vitamin E.
Supplemented with multivitamin E did not significantly prevent cardiovascular disease.
As an antioxidant, vitamin E acts as a peroxyl radical scavenger, disabling the production of damaging free radicals in tissues, by reacting with them to form a tocopheryl radical, which will then be reduced by a hydrogen donor (such asvitamin C) and thus return to its reduced state. As it is fat-soluble, it is incorporated into cell membranes, which protects them from oxidative damage;
As an enzymatic activity regulator, for instance, protein kinase C (PKC), which plays a role in smooth muscle growth, can be inhibited by α-tocopherol;
Vitamin E also has an effect on gene expression. Macrophages rich in cholesterol are found in atherosclerotic tissue;
Vitamin E also plays a role in eye and neurological functions,and inhibitionof platelet coagulation.
1. Pharmaceutical and Health care products
In the pharmaceutical industry can be used as raw materials for the production of medicine for the prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis, cardiovascular disease, cancer, arthritis, delaying brain function delaying other diseases.
In the cosmetics industry can delay skin aging and enhance skin elasticity, restore youthful vitality.
3. Food additives and nutrients
In the food industry is mainly used in oil food antioxidant and nutrition enhancer and as a feed additive, can improve animal reproductive function, increase fertility.
