NMN Benefits

-Research and Application Progress of Nicotinamide Mononucleotide

What is NMN(Nicotinamide)?

NMN (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide) is a reaction product of Nicotinamide phosphate ribose transferase (Nampt) and is one of the key precursors of NAD+. In mammals, NMN is produced by Nicotinamide (Nam) under the catalysis of Nampt, and then NMN is produced under the catalysis of Nicotinamide mononucleotideadenosine transferase (Nmnat) to produce NAD+. Extracellular NMN needs to be dephosphorylated and converted to Nicotinamide riboside (NR) before it can enter the liver cell. After entering the cell, NR is phosphorylated under the action of Nicotinamide riboside kinase 1 (NRK1). NMN, then NMN and ATP combine to produce NAD+. NMN is converted into NAD+ in the human body to exert its physiological functions, such as activating the NAD+ substrate-dependent enzyme Sirt1 (histone deacetylase, also known as sirtuin), regulating cell survival and death, and maintaining redox state. Recent studies have found that by adjusting the level of NMN in the organism, it is better for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, and aging degenerative diseases.

In addition, NMN can also protect and repair pancreatic islet function, increase insulin secretion, and prevent metabolic diseases such as diabetes and obesity by participating in and regulating the body’s endocrine.

What are the benefits of NMN?

For the elderly, it is used to assist in the improvement of various senile diseases;

For middle-aged people, resolve or alleviate various sub-health problems, such as chronic fatigue, poor sleep, and decreased vision;

For those who stay up late, speed up the body's recovery;

For test-takers, improve stress resistance and keep a clear mind;

For those with higher radiation doses, such as radiologists, nurses, and air crews, improve the ability to repair genes damaged by radiation;

For cancer patients, help patients repair genes after radiotherapy and chemotherapy, improve immunity and speed up physical recovery;

For bodybuilders, accelerate muscle growth;

For athletes, improve energy level and reaction speed;

For drinkers, improve the ability to hangover, protect the liver, and repair genes that are toxic to acetaldehyde;

For depressed people, raise the level of dopamine, improve mood, increase blood supply to the brain, and alleviate the brain decline caused by depression;

For middle-aged and elderly women, improve skin health and delay skin aging.
