Quercetin is a yellow acicular crystal of dihydrate. It becomes anhydrous at 95 ~ 97℃, and its melting point is 314℃(decomposition).Soluble in cold ethanol (1∶290), soluble in hot ethanol (1∶23), soluble in methanol, ethyl acetate, glacial acetic acid, pyridine, acetone, etc., almost insoluble in water, benzene, ethyl ether, chloroform, petroleum ether, etc.Quercetin is widely found in nature. Its English name, Quercetin, first appeared in 1857. It comes from Quercetum, meaning oak forest, and is a natural auxin polar transport inhibitor.Quercetin has good expectorant and cough relieving effects, and has a certain antiasthmatic effect.
